Welcome! I research the politics of transparency: why some businesses support corporate transparency standards and how business support influences their adoption domestically and internationally. My dissertation process traced the (un)successful adoption of beneficial ownership transparency laws in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia. It also examined the relationship between interest group coordination and influence over regulation through text and regression analysis of US public consultation comments.
To conduct this research, I use case studies, interviews, statistical analysis, and survey experiments. My academic writing has been published in outlets like Review of International Political Economy, Regulation and Governance, and PS: Political Science and Politics, and my public scholarship writing has been published in outlets like The Monkey Cage, Tech Policy Press, and Inkstick Media.
I received my PhD in political science from The George Washington University in 2023. Currently, I am the Research Grants Manager at the American Political Science Association.
